You’ll probably have an easier time using VMware Workstation Player, but I’ll cover both programs. With Oracle VM VirtualBox, I had to tweak certain settings to make it work. VMware Workstation accepted the Windows 11 Preview edition with no trouble. I tried creating a Windows 11 VM using both VMware Workstation Player and Oracle VM VirtualBox. However, if you have enough free storage space and memory, performance shouldn’t be too much of an issue. The main downside is that, since it doesn’t use the full power of your PC, a virtual machine can be slower than your normal OS. In certain ways, a virtual machine is the most effective option because it allows you to control how much disk space, memory, and other resources are allocated to running the operating system. You can put it on a dedicated or spare PC, set it up as a part of a dual-boot system to co-exist with another version of Windows, or add it as a virtual machine.
